To Assisi to feel peaceful economic

POSTED IN: DU LỊCH ROMA - ITALY

The UNESCO organization recognized the city of Assisi and the Franciscan cluster of churches as a World Heritage Site in 2000. The medieval city is located on the ASIO Hill with graceful paved roads and most of the houses are also built of natural stone. You'd be surprised if they were restored after the great earthquake of 1997.

Visitors to Assisi are mostly pleased to visit the homeland of the two great saints of the church, poor Francis and St. Claraja. The main attractions in this city are the Rufino Cathedral, The Church of St. Francis and the Church of St. Clara. However, there are many other ancient churches if you have plenty of time to stay here. Now, let's visit the three main cathedrals together.

Rufino Cathedral was the place where two saints were baptized at the beginning of the 12th century. We can still contemplate the well of baptism, where the late Pope John Paul II knelt down to pray on the occasion of his invitation to the Shepherds of your religions in 1986 to pray for World Peace.

The Church of St. Francis is the largest synagogue in Assisi, which we can see right on the way from the train station to the city. In 1228, two years after Francis ' death, Pope Gregory IX authorized the construction of the cathedral. The church, built in Gothic style, is located on the western slope of ASIO Hill. Inside, entire walls and ceilings are decorated with frescoes that have existed since the 12th century. Their authors are Giotto, Cimabue and their group of students. The Tomb of Saint Francis is located in the crypt below the church. The church is open from 7 a.m. until evening and every hour there is a mass for us to attend.

The Church of St. Clarais is about 500 metres from the Church of St. Francis. The Church of Cla-ra has a simpler architecture, but there are also many things for us to contemplate. The church was built in 1257. The interior also adorns with frescoes depicting the life of the Saint. The Tomb of St. Cla-ra is located in the basement below the church. Before entering the Grave area, we can look at the relics: some of the vestiges tear the holes of both Saints, the old everyday items, especially the box with a glass containing the splendid golden curls of the Saint. Coming inside, the remains of St. Cla-ra remain intact to this day. The Holy grave is decorated with brightly colored granite.

The poor life of Saint Francis and Clara through the pilgrimage reminds us of many things that sometimes life, which is so worried about rushing, distracts the faithful. Material goods are ephemeral, only true humility and simplicity bring us closer to God and make us able to empathize with you as the spirit of the prayer of Peace left to us by Saint Francis.
